A quick search through ILM's archives reveals that talk of Tiefschwarz has pretty much exploded this year and my soulseek folder suggests there's a good reason for that. So the question - what do ppl think of Ral 9005? I couldn't find anything on it w/ the search function.

I've found it pretty enthralling thus far...

Its that bad? I'm only a few tracks in but "Springtime" is great.

This was their deep house album before going all electro, yeah?

Tim Finney (Tim Finney), Thursday, 20 January 2005 12:06 (twenty-one years ago)

Pretty dull vocal house, there are some remixes floating about that sound a lot better.

perhaps this was in the other thread, but i've heard some allegations that there's a mystery 3d member of tiefschwarz; if this is true (and that's a big if), might it account for the stylistic shift after Ral 9005? of course it could all be horseshit too.

Hmm yeah this album is pretty uneven. I think there are some great moments, though (Particularly "Springtime")

the third member is the engineer. i think he's awesome, as although i'm not a fan of everything they do, sonically it sounds fabulous every time. i think it's the same engineer they have always worked with - maybe they just got bored of deep house or maybe it was all that hanging about with ivan smagghe.

In the Misch Masch liner notes all the remixes are credited as being done by Tiefschwarz (the Schwarz brothers) and Jochen Schmalbach.

ha x-post.

Tim can't thank you enough for talking up this uno records mix - it's fantastic! I love "Too Late," in particular.

yeah isn't it ace, especially the porno-action instrumental bit.

The uno records site seems to think it hasn't been released yet?!
