Thanks to drew for such a nice writeup!

...Oddly enough i saw "Barry Lyndon" recently and the main theme sounded a lot like the bit from "Fairie Queen" that we do on the new record too..

three weeks pass...
I'm having trouble finding you new album 'Baroque in Voltage'. Midheaven Mailorder seems to be the only place that has it. There seems to be some sort of glitch at the Fever Pitch site. When you add the album to the card, it adds the DJ Jester album instead. Someone might want to fix that!

Why doesn't Darla have this album?

From what i can tell there were two places you can order it online as of today (i dont know whats up with Sugar & Spice) aside from Feverpitch. Midheaven is the best bet and its only $12.75. It's also on the Netherlands-based Music Safe for 15.70 (dollars? i dont know...).

Otherwise you can go to Feverpitch tho I know they're new site is kind of undergoing construction. Or you can email me or Fashion Flesh at [email protected]
cos we both have extra copies. I'm trying to come up with a simpler site design cos right now www.supermadrigalbros.com is just really unwieldly.

Yes im in Spr Mdrgl Brs! I really hope more people get to hear this record than our last one cos it feels like everytime we do something its always hard for people to get ahold of it, its like some cosmic joke. At any rate we have mp3s and video on our webpage and i was sharing it on slsk earlier this winter.

Does anyone here have it? Ive been getting mixed reactions about the second half, which is more theatrical and humanist. It has my favorite bits tho, 3-dimensional space and a yearning for decadence. The first half is Byzantium Power-Up.

John sent me a copy -- It's fucken awesome. I play it in my resale shop all the time. I giggle every time I haer John singing along on ... I think it's Prelude? Yeah, there it is. I was glad to hear that you started working with different chips, Adam, and I like that the selections cary a bit from the basic premise. And I like that, with this album, a track will come up and I'll think 'Is the John Flesh version coming first?' And then the John Flesh version will come on and be a John Flesh version. The breaking of your own rules, that's what I like. The whole album is inspiring, like a role model. Kudos to you. Hope you don't mind my forcing copies on all my friends.

I wish I'd brought a copy with me to Japan, because I only listened to it a couple of times before I had to leave Berlin. My first reaction was that the first half was fantastic, better than the first album, but then it went into kitschy Romantic-period stuff that I didn't like so much, but maybe with some further listens that assessment would have changed, reversed, become nuanced. Well, that'll have to wait for March now. Something to look forward to!
