I accidentally came across this on Amazon, and it looked pretty good. Any opinions on this?

i don't care what anyone says, "The Long Road" is a beautiful song as much for Eddie Vedder's vocal as it is for Nusrat Fatheh Ali Khan's.

Mary Chapin Carpenter's song "Dead Man Walking" is absolutely gorgeous. If you don't buy the album, definitely download the song. The soundtrack also has the "Fall of Troy" by Waits, which is a tragic song about an incident with a kid getting shot (though a better version, in my opinion, can be found on the KCRW comp Rare On Air Vol. 4). Seriously, if you like music by the artists on the soundtrack, then you want to own this. It's top notch songs by all of the artists. Oh, and I totally agree with John about The Long Road.

I remember the Lyle Lovett song on there being pretty heavy, way moreso than I expected. Not heavy like Slayer, obv. Also, the thing that really kills me about "Long Road" is how well Eddie Veddar and NFAK's voices work together.

Okay, so after typing that out, I clicked on the link to see that you're talking about the score, not the Music from & Inspired by the Motion Picture CD that I'm referring to. I can't recall if the score is worth owning or not. This is what I'm talking about.

Well actually, The Long Road is on both (the score has a longer version), so your post makes sense for both CDs.

I actually really like the Steve Earle track from that, and I don't usually like Steve Earle.

So yeah, C.

Oh, sorry, I didn't know there were two CDs. I meant the score, yeah.

I love the Dead Man soundtrack. It`s really the only album by Neil Young that I like.
