Maybe this is old news, but it appears "Winter Songs" and "The World as It Is Today" are getting a re-release on Feb. 7th on Amazon UK (You lucky britons, you always get the good re-issues). They are currently my "Favorite Band I've Only Heard 30-Second snippets of mp3.com But Already Love Them More Than Most Bands Whose Albums I Own." I guess Hopes and Fears is already sporadically available.

Phew. Exciting haha.

Which album is better? Winter Songs sounds more like my "thing." (I'm too poor to buy the Box Set).

I didn't know they were supposed to be unduly hard to get hold of. I bought Hopes & Fears and twofer of Winter Songs and The World As It Is Today a few years back from http://www.rermegacorp.com/ and Amazon iirc.

RER still have Hopes & Fears in stock btw.

oh............................. well, nevermind, then.

I imagine these reissues are the remastered albums included in the box. The two-fer is the old issue, and these cases, the remasters do sound a lot better.

I personally prefer The World As It is Today, but they're both great. Winter Songs is a bit more sparse, perhaps a bit more abstract.

all three albums are getting reissued, the exact same digipack editions that were used in the box set. I just saw Hopes And Fears in a shop the other day.

Though I'd definitely start with either World As It Is Today (my favorite too) or Winter Songs. Definitely two records I love more with each passing decade.
