What's the best ballad of the 00s? I don't rate 'Leave Right Now' at all.

Stevem On X (blueski), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 13:30 (twenty-one years ago)

I do, but I'll be going with Couches in Alleys by Styrofoam if it's allowed to tentatively fit the category. It's certainly wet enough.

why must we cut onions? (Lynskey), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 13:44 (twenty-one years ago)

Does 'If I Ever Recover' by Basement Jaxx count? If so, that.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 14:07 (twenty-one years ago)

Yes, I know that is a cop out by that's because I am a BOY and ballads are for GIRLS.

Except power-ballads of course and I don't think there have been many of them in the 00s.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 14:07 (twenty-one years ago)

Richard X Ft. Jarvis Cocker - "Into You"

Normally Richard X productions are a bit tinny to my ears, and I'm not a Pulp fan, but I think I like this track so much because neither of them seem to be working with their usual sneer.

Brian Miller (Brian Miller), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 14:14 (twenty-one years ago)

Right now, Teedra Moses's 'Backstroke' or 'For A Lifetime' come to mind, because I've only just discovered them.

I'm also very fond of the 4-Hero remix of Rhianna's 'Word Love', the Streets' 'Could Well Be In', Belle & Sebastian's 'Don't Leave The Light On Baby' and Luna's 'Mermaid Eyes' and 'Rememories'

I'm never sure what counts as a ballad.

And don't knock 'Leave Right Now'.

Alba (Alba), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 14:23 (twenty-one years ago)

It begins and ends with:

Los Lonely Boys - More Than Love

the truest, bestest A/C ballad of the decade.

Josh Love (screamapillar), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 15:02 (twenty-one years ago)

Matt perhaps 'Feels Like Home's a better Jaxx 'ballad'?

And don't knock 'Leave Right Now'.

I can and will! I just think it's deeply over-rated rather than actually rubbish or owt. From a subjective view Christina's 'Beautiful' is top-notch. From a personal and more non-pop view I like Goldfrapp's 'Pilots (On A Star)'

Stevem On X (blueski), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 15:05 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm going with "Mary" by Scissor Sisters, with an honorable mention to Daniel Bedingfield's "If You're Not the One."

Joseph McCombs (Joseph McCombs), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 15:48 (twenty-one years ago)

Freeform Five 'Easy' is possibly as good as 'Mary'

Stevem On X (blueski), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 15:50 (twenty-one years ago)

Kiley Dean - 'Keep It Movin'', closely followed by Sugababes - 'One Touch' and Cornelius' cover of 'Brazil'. You won't find many better.

Captain GRRRios' Giggletits (Barima), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 16:04 (twenty-one years ago)

Avril Lavigne - "I'm With You"

The Good Dr. Bill (The Good Dr. Bill), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 16:06 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm with Bill. Plus half the songs mentioned here aren't even ballads.

Jacob (Jacob), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 16:10 (twenty-one years ago)

Usher "Burn"

miccio (miccio), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 16:12 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm with Bill. Plus half the songs mentioned here aren't even ballads.

Including "Leave (Get Out)".

The Good Dr. Bill (The Good Dr. Bill), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 16:13 (twenty-one years ago)

I forgot Britney's 'Shadow', which is just as lushwonderful as 'I'm With You'. That, plus The Concretes - 'Chico' would round out my top 5, though I also gotta give props to JC Chasez's 'Build My World'.

Captain GRRRios' Giggletits (Barima), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 16:24 (twenty-one years ago)

Might want to change my answer to Ashanti's "Foolish" or dNTEL's "(This is) The Dream of Evan and Chan".

The Good Dr. Bill (The Good Dr. Bill), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 16:27 (twenty-one years ago)

Plus half the songs mentioned here aren't even ballads.

which ones are not? i'd say less than half but not really sure what.

Stevem On X (blueski), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 16:29 (twenty-one years ago)

Each and everyone(Blindhouse remix) - Ada

a techno ballad.

Lovelace, Wednesday, 26 January 2005 16:29 (twenty-one years ago)

Britney's "Everytime" maybe?

jaymc (jaymc), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 16:36 (twenty-one years ago)

My candidates:

Any one of several Ryan Adams songs -- Come Pick Me Up, Where The Stars Go Blue, New York NY, Avalanche, English Girls Approximately

Old 97s -- Valium Waltz, Rollerskate Skinny

Wilco -- I Am Trying To Break Your Heart (prob. my winner)

The Roots -- The Water

Jill Scott -- Rasul

The Postal Service -- The District Sleeps Tonight

Vornado (Vornado), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 16:54 (twenty-one years ago)

Outkast 'Prototype' ?

Stevem On X (blueski), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 16:56 (twenty-one years ago)

Aaliyah - I Care 4 U

ana (ana), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 16:56 (twenty-one years ago)

Isn't 'Keep It Movin' engaged in a meaningful 3way with 'Nowhere' and 'Cry Me A River'?

Captain GRRRios' Giggletits (Barima), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 17:01 (twenty-one years ago)

Kelis 'Get Along With You'

Stevem On X (blueski), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 17:01 (twenty-one years ago)

"U Got it Bad" by Usher

I'd take it in a fight over "Burn" nine times out of ten.

Jeff Reguilon (Talent Explosion), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 17:06 (twenty-one years ago)

nyc - interpol

is that a ballad? well this, if so.

piscesboy, Wednesday, 26 January 2005 17:13 (twenty-one years ago)

Ooh, Steve wins with that Kelis song. Maybe Elevator Love Letter by Stars as well.

Actually, scratch all that, its Heartbeat.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 17:15 (twenty-one years ago)

Does 'Never Be The Same Again' count? I think it was released as a single in 2000. I love that one. She sings so nicely, and Left Eye is so smooth on it, RIP.

Jay-Kid (Jay-Kid), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 17:27 (twenty-one years ago)

Ooh. If "Heartbeat" is considered a ballad, that'll get my vote.

ana (ana), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 17:27 (twenty-one years ago)

Also, Bright Eyes: 'Lua'
[ducks]

Jay-Kid (Jay-Kid), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 17:29 (twenty-one years ago)

Kelis and 'Heartbeat' are nowhere near my top 10. Hell, 'Provider' is better than 'Get Along With You' and to me, the latter counts as much as 'The Ballad of Chasey Lain' (which is also better).

Yukari Fresh - 'Raymond'

Captain GRRRios' Giggletits (Barima), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 17:32 (twenty-one years ago)

'Heartbeat' is clearly NOT a ballad.

Stevem On X (blueski), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 17:33 (twenty-one years ago)

I have to second the nomination for Britney's "Shadow". Ballads don't get me normally but this one does.

Nick H (Nick H), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 17:34 (twenty-one years ago)

'Provider'! Of course!

Jay-Kid (Jay-Kid), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 17:34 (twenty-one years ago)

'Provider' is better than 'Get Along With You'

pure mentalism.

Stevem On X (blueski), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 17:34 (twenty-one years ago)

i don't think 'Provider' is really a ballad either, but we need clarification on the definition.

Stevem On X (blueski), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 17:35 (twenty-one years ago)

And, sickly enough: Ricky Martin & Meja: 'Private Emotion'

Jay-Kid (Jay-Kid), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 17:36 (twenty-one years ago)

I was going to say 'Get Along With You' but I'm a stickler for dates and it came out first in 1999 (though maybe the single was 2000).

Alba (Alba), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 17:44 (twenty-one years ago)

Kings Of Convenience - 'Winning A Battle, Losing The War' (original and Andy Votel versions), 'I'd Rather Dance With You' (Cornelius Remix)
Mondo Grosso - 'Everything Needs Love' (Cornelius Remix)
Mandy Moore - 'I Wanna Be With You'
The Apples In Stereo - 'Her Pretty Face'
The Beta Band - 'Gone'
April March - 'Zero Zero'
Janet Jackson - 'I Want You'
Plus-Tech Squeeze Box - 'Hoky-Poky a.la.mode.'

(all u&k)

Mannion, you know I'm right (and about 'Provider's ballad status).

Captain GRRRios' Giggletits (Barima), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 17:44 (twenty-one years ago)

Whatever other criteria there are for a ballad, 'Heartbeat' and 'Elevator Love Letter' are surely too high tempo to be ballads.

Alba (Alba), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 17:52 (twenty-one years ago)

Barima you know we like loads of the same music but completely disagree about what order things should be ranked...

Alba 'Get Along With You' was a late Summer 00 single

Stevem On X (blueski), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 17:54 (twenty-one years ago)

I turned to Googlism.com for tired comedy effect and found that the front page now says:

"Thanks for the total roxority that is googlism" - Greg Pallis

!!

Alba (Alba), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 17:56 (twenty-one years ago)

More helpfully:

http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&lr=&oi=defmore&q=define:ballad

Alba (Alba), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 17:57 (twenty-one years ago)

The Stars isn't high tempo enough, but they have others. I'll go listen and report back.

Hell, I think most of DJ Sammy's 'Sunlight' qualifies.

Captain GRRRios' Giggletits (Barima), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 18:01 (twenty-one years ago)

the best version of 'Heaven' is the DJ Sammy beatless one

Stevem On X (blueski), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 18:11 (twenty-one years ago)

aaargh half of these are NOT BALLADS.

seconded: "I'm With You", "I Care 4 U", "Everytime", "Get Along With You", "For A Lifetime".

also:

Aaliyah - I Refuse
Nancy Sinatra - Baby's Coming Back To Me
Tori Amos - Strange
Mya - You
Neko Case - Look For Me (I'll Be Around)
Madonna - Nothing Fails
Tatu - 30 Minutes
Christina Aguilera - The Voice Within
Girls Aloud - Deadlines And Diets

The Lex (The Lex), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 18:25 (twenty-one years ago)

do you like any ballads by straight men Alex (serious question out of curiosity!). they seem less popular generally (i prefer lady ballads too).

Stevem On X (blueski), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 18:38 (twenty-one years ago)

does "Nowhere" by Bubba Sparxxx count as a ballad?

*falls into same trap as everyone who sugested Basement Jaxx and Richard X*

The Lex (The Lex), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 18:48 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh, I like Tom Waits ballads actually, and there are lots of them. From this decade, "The Part You Throw Away" is particularly fine.

The Lex (The Lex), Wednesday, 26 January 2005 18:49 (twenty-one years ago)

wonder if Ian Brown 'F.E.A.R.' fits in

Stevem On X (blueski), Thursday, 27 January 2005 13:24 (twenty-one years ago)

'It's Only Time' is still rubbish.

Alba (Alba), Thursday, 27 January 2005 13:25 (twenty-one years ago)

If Heartbeat isn't allowed to be a ballad then that bludy Ian Brown song certainly isn't.

My top three ballads of the moment are So Much Love To Give, 99 Problems and Galang.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Thursday, 27 January 2005 13:29 (twenty-one years ago)

Mine is 'Jailhouse Rock'.

Alba (Alba), Thursday, 27 January 2005 13:30 (twenty-one years ago)

Ballads are where one syllable is stretched over two or more beat units and that is the hook and you are a thirteen year-old girl from Guilford. IT IS NOT THAT HARD PEOPLE.

I still haven't worked out how to like Galang.

Gravel Puzzleworth (Gregory Henry), Thursday, 27 January 2005 13:32 (twenty-one years ago)

If Heartbeat isn't allowed to be a ballad then that bludy Ian Brown song certainly isn't.

but can you explain how/why?

i should've limited this thread to just 'torch songs'

Stevem On X (blueski), Thursday, 27 January 2005 13:34 (twenty-one years ago)

The best way to enjoy 'Galang' is to jump about in one of those seas of balls for kiddies, going 'rooo yaaa'.

I don't know the best way to enjoy ballads.

Alba (Alba), Thursday, 27 January 2005 13:36 (twenty-one years ago)

Okay then. Its a ballad because it is soft and gentle (despite the drums) and has this overwhelming sense of sadness and loss and nostalgia. Ballad doesn't just equal 'slow song'.

Is it too late to pretend I was talking about the Knife song?

Matt DC (Matt DC), Thursday, 27 January 2005 13:39 (twenty-one years ago)

"Galang" is best heard in the summer, loud. if in the house, doors need to be open. And dancing needs to be done.

Ballads are best enjoyed over a bottle of red wine to yourself.

The Lex (The Lex), Thursday, 27 January 2005 13:41 (twenty-one years ago)

I mean, something like Pyramid Song is clearly not a ballad despite being slower and quieter than almost everything on here.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Thursday, 27 January 2005 13:41 (twenty-one years ago)

I liked it on the Who loves the ballads? thread, where the pinefox said "No, afraid I still don't know what a 'slow jam' is."

Alba (Alba), Thursday, 27 January 2005 13:48 (twenty-one years ago)

I think you're wrong Matt. It actually seems nearer to the tempo thing than the vague elements you suggest constitute a ballad. And what is 'Pyramid Song' if not soft, gentle, overwhelmingly sad and full of loss and nostalgia (pyramids = nostalgia ;)

I'm unsure about 'Pyramid Song' too by my instincts do suggest ballad.

Stevem On X (blueski), Thursday, 27 January 2005 13:59 (twenty-one years ago)

The Hidden Cameras "Builds The Bone"

bprofane (AaronHz), Thursday, 27 January 2005 14:01 (twenty-one years ago)

Jesus, people. A ballad does not mean "has no rapping or guitars". A ballad means a damn slow, sentimental song, with an emphasis on the singer.

"White Flag" is not a ballad just cos it isn't techno.

Jacob (Jacob), Thursday, 27 January 2005 17:00 (twenty-one years ago)

And that's not even getting into the fact that it sucks more ass than a colonic irrigation clinic.

Jacob (Jacob), Thursday, 27 January 2005 17:01 (twenty-one years ago)

I totally stand by my definition upthread!

Heartbeats even in knife version = not ballad because the hook is either the beat itself or "keep me awake with wolfss teeth, sharing diffrent heartbeats", it is slithery and rushed, nothing is over two or more sylabbles. Also you are a jaded hipster in their early mid twenties.

White Flag = sort of ballad but not really, the hook is "There will be nooo white flag above my dooor, I'm in looooove, and always will beeee", the long bits are only held over 1.5 syllables but at least they are the point. Also you are a twentysomething office worker.

Hey Boy = see above (hook = cos I'm hotttt, girllll, and you're notttt, girl, so 1.5 syllables again), but at least you ARE a thirteen yr old girl from guildford.

Unchained Melody = CLASSIC BALLAD bcz it has about 2000 hooks and they are all held sylabbles for about nine beats ("Allllllllll my love", "to the seeeeeeeeeea", "wait for meeeeeeeeeeeea", etc)

Gravel Puzzleworth (Gregory Henry), Thursday, 27 January 2005 17:14 (twenty-one years ago)

I have never heard Pyramid Song so cannot comment.

Gravel Puzzleworth (Gregory Henry), Thursday, 27 January 2005 17:15 (twenty-one years ago)

I will try the Galang thing next time I see a ballpen! Thanks N.

Gravel Puzzleworth (Gregory Henry), Thursday, 27 January 2005 17:16 (twenty-one years ago)

i still don't fathom how you like Gareth's version of that song so much. is it because he holds the syllables for even longer than usual (arf)

Stevem On X (blueski), Thursday, 27 January 2005 17:22 (twenty-one years ago)

Any definition of ballad that excludes WHITE FLAG is so reductivist as to be effectively useless. Anyway Greg, going by your syllable rule, I nominate Tarzan Boy as my favourite ballad (except its not 00s, so She's A Ho' instead).

This never happened on Give me MEGA POP BALLADS and give me them NOW!

Matt DC (Matt DC), Thursday, 27 January 2005 17:36 (twenty-one years ago)

Actually the most amusing thing about this thread is the notion that jaded hipsters and office workers are mutually exclusive categories.

Jacob (Jacob), Thursday, 27 January 2005 17:41 (twenty-one years ago)

Only if one can't like both Heartbeats and White Flag!

Gravel Puzzleworth (Gregory Henry), Thursday, 27 January 2005 18:07 (twenty-one years ago)

three weeks pass...
Personal top 10s, people?

I also want to throw out 'Heart' and 'The Woods' by Stars as well as Kelis' 'Suspended', which is what I meant to mention before.

Deerninja B4rim4, Plus-Tech Whizz Kid (Barima), Saturday, 19 February 2005 12:00 (twenty-one years ago)

The correct answers are (non-exhaustive list):

Daniel Bedingfield - If You're Not The One
Teedra Moses - For A Lifetime
Aaliyah - I Care 4 U
Sugababes - Caught In A Moment
Ashanti - Rescue Me
Shakira - The One
Pink - Let Me Let You Know
Britney Spears - Everytime

Tim Finney (Tim Finney), Saturday, 19 February 2005 12:24 (twenty-one years ago)

Tim, that's 8. Surely 9 is 'Keep It Movin'. 10 is, I dunno, '1000 Miles'?

Deerninja B4rim4, Plus-Tech Whizz Kid (Barima), Saturday, 19 February 2005 13:03 (twenty-one years ago)

Which leads me to:

1. Kiley Dean - 'Keep It Movin'
2. Sugababes - 'One Touch'
3. Cornelius - 'Brazil'
4. Stars - 'Elevator Love Letter'
5. Mandy Moore - 'I Wanna Be With You'
6. Vanessa Carlton - '1000 Miles'
7. Britney Spears - 'Shadow'
8. Kings Of Convenience - 'Winning A Battle, Losing The War' (original and Andy Votel versions), 'I'd Rather Dance With You' (Cornelius Remix)
9. Mondo Grosso - 'Everything Needs Love' (Cornelius Remix) (unless the Cornelius remix of Blur - 'Tender' from 'No Distance Left To Run' was a 2000 single. Mind you, these two break even)
10. JC Chasez - 'Build My World'

Deerninja B4rim4, Plus-Tech Whizz Kid (Barima), Saturday, 19 February 2005 13:10 (twenty-one years ago)

Ah, copy-paste. I only wanted the Votel remix for 8.

Deerninja B4rim4, Plus-Tech Whizz Kid (Barima), Saturday, 19 February 2005 13:13 (twenty-one years ago)

Barima I still haven't heard "Keep It Movin'". Can you gmail it to me please?

Only ten ballads? No way. I'm going to have to think about this.

The Lex (The Lex), Saturday, 19 February 2005 13:19 (twenty-one years ago)

Sorry, Alex, I've owed it to you for months. I'm on it.

Deerninja B4rim4, Plus-Tech Whizz Kid (Barima), Saturday, 19 February 2005 13:28 (twenty-one years ago)

Done. I turned it into a massive forward and included a couple of my homepieces on this thread.

Homepiece B4rim4, Plus-Tech Whizz Kid (Barima), Saturday, 19 February 2005 14:29 (twenty-one years ago)

cry me a river - justin timberlake
lost cause - beck
i'm not going anywhere - keren ann
madeline peyroux - between the bars
03 bonnie & clyde - beyonce & jay-z
iron & wine - such great heights
eminem - stan

and i'd say yellow but i don't feel like being yelled at

Fritz Wollner (Fritz), Saturday, 19 February 2005 15:05 (twenty-one years ago)

"Fuck It"
"Somewhere I Belong"
"Pyramid Song"

dave q (listerine), Saturday, 19 February 2005 16:26 (twenty-one years ago)

the 00's still doesn't have a "november rain" to call its own, though, does it? that last andrew wk song strived for it, but didn't quite grasp it, i think... whither the POWER ballad?

Fritz Wollner (Fritz), Saturday, 19 February 2005 17:38 (twenty-one years ago)

Fritz, I think some of the Timbaland productions mentioned certainly have the power.

Deerninja B4rim4, Plus-Tech Whizz Kid (Barima), Saturday, 19 February 2005 17:59 (twenty-one years ago)

Tim's seconded but also:

Britney -- Don't Let Me Be The Last To Know
Ginuwine -- My Whole Life
Ja Rule feat. Ashanti -- Alway On Time
R. Kelly -- Heaven I Need A Hug

Sterling Clover (s_clover), Saturday, 19 February 2005 18:10 (twenty-one years ago)

Colplay gets you laid, so that should count for something.

Chris O., Saturday, 19 February 2005 18:18 (twenty-one years ago)

What about "Maps"? I don't think it'd be my favorite, but it's one of the best, probably.

jaymc (jaymc), Saturday, 19 February 2005 18:20 (twenty-one years ago)

Argh "A Thousand Miles" of course!

"Shape Of My Heart" even more obviously and brilliantlz.

Tim Finney (Tim Finney), Saturday, 19 February 2005 18:48 (twenty-one years ago)

i didn't mean there were no more powerful ballads- just that there were no more Power Ballads. Oh wait, Aerosmith must've dropped one of those post-2000... they had about 12 in a row that all kinda sounded the same

Fritz Wollner (Fritz), Saturday, 19 February 2005 21:27 (twenty-one years ago)

actually, what am i talking about? there's basically nothing but power ballads on "modern rock" radio these days... of course they're all by hoobastank and nickelback and worse - so i stand by my NO NOVEMBER RAIN OF THE 00's challenge

top 100 power ballads

Fritz Wollner (Fritz), Saturday, 19 February 2005 21:33 (twenty-one years ago)

I'd forgotten about 'Builds the Bone' but it's surely in the top 5. Such gorgeous space on that track.

Also up for consideration: 'Pictures of Success' by Rilo Kiley which despite some mild guitar hysterics still feels like a ballad to me; 'What's In It For Me?' by The Walkmen which still kills me every time I hear it and Neko Case's epic 'I Wish I Was The Moon'.

minolta (minolta), Monday, 21 February 2005 08:12 (twenty-one years ago)

My compilation referred to on the other thread reminded me that I've completely forgotten about my all time fave Blue's "If You Come Back In My Life"!

Tim Finney (Tim Finney), Monday, 21 February 2005 18:07 (twenty-one years ago)

the 00's still doesn't have a "november rain" to call its own, though, does it? that last andrew wk song strived for it, but didn't quite grasp it, i think... whither the POWER ballad?

If "The Reason" had aout ten more guitar solos...

The Good Dr. Bill (The Good Dr. Bill), Monday, 21 February 2005 18:19 (twenty-one years ago)

was N-Sync's 'Gone' 2000?

Sven Bastard (blueski), Monday, 21 February 2005 19:01 (twenty-one years ago)

2001.

Deerninja B4rim4, Plus-Tech Whizz Kid (Barima), Monday, 21 February 2005 20:31 (twenty-one years ago)

This thread inspired me to pull out my copy of the Sugababes 'first album. Damn if almost every song didn't nearly bring me to tears. "New Year," "Soul Sound," and "Run For Cover" all kick the ass of so much on this thread.t

Sterling Clover (s_clover), Tuesday, 22 February 2005 02:54 (twenty-one years ago)

Xtina, "Beautiful"

Mark (MarkR), Tuesday, 22 February 2005 05:28 (twenty-one years ago)

many many great great things mentioned here already; i'd vote for "beautiful," "if you're not the one," that FakeID rmx of "get along with you" that Alba linked to a while ago, "everytime," etc etc

but i'd add: reba mcentire - "he gets that from me," and mario - "let me love you" (not burned out on this at all somehow)

f--gg (gcannon), Tuesday, 22 February 2005 05:39 (twenty-one years ago)

Yeah "Soul Sound"!

What about deathless 2-step ballad Y-Tribe's "Enough Is Enough"?

Tim Finney (Tim Finney), Tuesday, 22 February 2005 10:13 (twenty-one years ago)

Sterling, I like the way you think (Tim, 'Soul Sound' is too wonderful - and leads straight into 'One Touch' to boot). That album is perfect, yet my C/D thread on it was so small fish.

The Lex is currently under the spell of 'Keep It Movin'', I'm pleased to report.

Deerninja B4rim4, Plus-Tech Whizz Kid (Barima), Tuesday, 22 February 2005 10:19 (twenty-one years ago)
