sehnsucht, Friday, 28 January 2005 01:31 (twenty-one years ago)

I believe it was name.

Alex in NYC (vassifer), Friday, 28 January 2005 01:45 (twenty-one years ago)

...but now that you mention it, "mane" would make more sense.

"A Horse with No Name" is the best Neil Young song not written by Neil Young.

Earl Nash (earlnash), Friday, 28 January 2005 01:57 (twenty-one years ago)

lukevalentine, Friday, 12 February 2010 06:09 (sixteen years ago)

lukevalentine, Friday, 12 February 2010 06:10 (sixteen years ago)

George Martin made them stop touring.

Joint Custody (ian), Friday, 12 February 2010 06:17 (sixteen years ago)

when "horse w/no name" was on the radio I was all "whoa a new neil young song" and didn't realize it was america for like months...stupid kid

the mighty the mighty BOHANNON (m coleman), Friday, 12 February 2010 10:16 (sixteen years ago)

I don't know much about this band but "Sister Golden Hair" is a classic jam (except for the silly boogie parts, but the main riff makes up for that silliness).

And Nilsson's take on "I Need You" is great so maybe the original is too?

search: Ventura Highway

that's not my post, Saturday, 13 February 2010 07:36 (sixteen years ago)

I used to do an amazing imitation of the vocals when I was a kid (amazing to my older brother anyway).

_Rudipherous_, Saturday, 13 February 2010 07:42 (sixteen years ago)

(Or maybe just amusing.)

looked it up in "shakey" and i realize that i far from the only person to think this

marcos, Tuesday, 16 September 2014 16:32 (eleven years ago)

i'll give myself the benefit of the doubt that it was playing in car radio in the show and wasn't totally audible

marcos, Tuesday, 16 September 2014 16:37 (eleven years ago)

I've been listening to the Last Unicorn soundtrack a lot lately and there's a great little ersatz Fleetwood Mac harmony on the outro to this one.

I haven't got around to any of their other stuff, but someday soon I'm going to youtube up a bunch of it.

"Sandman" and "Don't Cross the River" are both worth checking out IMO.
