ok Im gonna be pretty ballsy here today...either ballsy or stupid...post punk is one of my favorite types of music yet I too, like many out there am getting sick of this posty/disco-ey/artsy punk revival. While many have claimed that all Interpol is is a bunch of disco-ey, gothy imitators I honestly cannot fully agree with that. While they are constantly compared to Joy Division I can barely see a relation. To me the closest band they sound like are The Chameleons yet I dont see much of a similarity. I guess what I am trying to say is that while Interpol is a little overhyped I do not believe they are just some regular indie revival band....
