i think that the rowland and scorpions album covers aren't supposed to be "sexy" -- they're supposed to be HUMOROUS b/c it's OBVIOUS that they're NOT sexy.

the scorpions' album covers show that the band had a pretty good sense of humor, BTW. shame that i can't get w/ the actual MUSIC, however.

I don't think Rowland was trying to be funny there, Eisbar. I remember him being rather humorless about the whole episode and crying during an interview or something. It was quite sad, really, that whole period.

The Scropions cover, meanwhile....I think that was just an attempt at being arty and surreal. Moreover, they certainly weren't averse to doing tasteless covers (I'm sure by this point you've seen the original sleeve for Virgin Killers).
