...and whether you were blown away or thought hmm.. wasn't as good as I remember.

Thread prompted by the PWEI thread ("Beaver Patrol" - comically so-bad-and-non-PC-its-funny) but also New Order doing JD stuff ("She's Lost Control" and "Digital" at Finsbury Park - marvellous) and the Pixies (the whole set..)

Television, "Marquee Moon," in a way the only reason I keep going to see them, because I every time I hear that song live, I remember something wonderful.

Again as opposed to ever, HMMM. Have to think about this -- might be something by Spiritualized.

Good call Ned ... the "Smiles"/"Things'll Never Be the Same" mashup they were closing their shows with on the last tour was something I thought I'd never hear.

the cure's "the kiss" ... they broke into it as the 3rd or 4th encore at Wembley in 2000 ... and i was offered free tix the night of the show..mised half of the main set.

I'm sincerely hoping that the Joke will bust out some obscure shit come their "25th Anniversary" shows next month, but they've never been shy about dissapointing people, so my breath I shall not hold.

I never thought I'd hear, let alone see my beloved Devo dust off "Uncontrollable Urge" again, but they did in Central Park this summer, and I had to restrain myself from weeping with joy (ask Jody!). I was exceptionally drunk at the time, though, so perhaps i was overreacting. Still, it took me back.
