this new kings of leon album actually IS fucking great

i was really sceptical but they really came through on this album. the songs are a bit TOO short and not quite as fully formed as the last album, but theyre a lot more memorable, and fresh sounding, KOL sound like theyre coming into their own now too. lots of nice touches too, like the few subtle underlinings of synths and effects like that. i love this.

I was expecting something even more exciting than Daft Punk on the basis that Dido > Kings Of Leon :(

anyway, I have heard bits of this album through my flatmate's wall. it's terrible.

I never had anything nice to say about Kings of Leon until I heard "The Bucket," which I guess is the lead single from their new record. I haven't heard the rest of the album, but listening to it might not be the waste of time you imagine.
