Pagan Music

As an aside to talking about Loreena McKennitt in this thread I'd like to ask for thoughts, suggestions, opinions, musings, warnings, big-ups, slag-offs, calls of "praise be" and shouts of "burn the witch!" about openly Pagan* and Wiccan musicians.
To jog your memory Here's a few

* = I don't know if McKennitt is herself a pagan/wiccan...but it seems like all her most famous tunes fall very neatly under the category of "Wiccan Gospel Music"

Do Lisa Hammer's bands and Faith and the Muse count?

Or Unto Ashes or assorted other World Serpent combos? I mean, they *are* wiccans. But does that make them witch music?

the soundtrack to the film The Wicker Man . . . Atrium Musicae de Madrid/Gregorio Paniagua's "Musique de la Grece Antique" . . . . Coil "Saturnalia" . . . . Buffy Saint Marie "God Is Alive, Magic Is Afoot" . . . . . Vasilisk "Liberation and Ecstasy" . . . . Igor Stravinsky "The Rite of Spring" . . . . Coil "Titan Arch" . . . . Herrmann Nitsch aktion (ok, quasi-Catholic but also riffing on ancient Greek spharagmos rituals) . . . . Crash Worship . . . .

I don't know. I'm not sure if I've ever heard anything by World Serpent and only dimly remember one Unto Ashes song.
I guess the dead giveaway that something is "Pagan Music" is if the act in question has at least one or more songs per album praising the merits of Paganism or the old gods.
And the dead of something being full-blown "Witch Music" is if the songs just sounds like elaborate prayer sessions (to a Pagan Deity) set to music (example: "Wytches Chant '98" by Inkubus Sukkubus) or any song that sounds like instructions on how to gather the right herbs and roots for spellwork (example: "Belladonna and Aconite" by, surprise surprise... Inkubus Sukkubus.)

I just know I'm going to keep thinking of things down the line to mention . . . . Robin Williamson's solo album "Myrrh", especially the narrative song "The Dancing of the Lord of Weir" . . . Psychic TV's "A Pagan Day" lp . . . . Enslaved's Viking metal albums . . . . the Mastishaddhu album "Shekinah" . . . . . .

Sedayne and his many guises (Venereum Arvum's Scowan Urla Grun/Fower Muckle Sangs being the latest and greatest)
