Sluts Of Trust @ SXSW

Y'all,
Might I suggest seeing the Sluts of Trust while they are in Austin next weekend? These dudes rock balls, please take my word for it. They are coming all the way from Glasgow for their single showcase, so I'm sure they will be amped up!!! Seriously, this duo belts out a mightily ass-shaking groove somewhere in-between AC/DC's punch and Eddie VH's guitar chicanery. Excellent!

(I'm not being paid for saying this shit).

I STRONGLY suggest going to their web-site and checking out the video for "piece o' you." If you don't like that, there's just something wrong.

One or the other, not both, or it's a hell of an ugly mess.

I've heard about people going to see them.

1) i said, "somewhere IN-Between AC/DC's punch and Eddie VH's guitar chicanery." If you have an imagination, it doesn't have to be a hell of an ugly mess.

I forgot to mention earlier that the Sluts add a nice twist of ambigious sexuality to their thing, which will either turn you on or make you pleasantly anxious.

>of ambigious sexuality to their thing,

Then that certainly leaves AC/DC and/or Van Halen out. Instead of making claims that can't be met, why not say the name of the CD, the label and when it will be out in the States?

Well, I wish I was in Austin, then. I'd be there. Wonder if they are doing a full U.S. tour.

I hadn't noticed any "ambiguous sexuality" to them, though - care to enlighten me?

Seen 'em a couple of times in their native Scotland. Excellent stuff, metal freakouts vaguely reminiscent of the QOTSA/Desert Sessions thing.

As for the "Ambiguous sexuality", the main man sometimes likes to embellish his 70s Stacey Keach crewcut and 'tache look with copious amounts of eye make-up. Which is scary.

re: ambiguous sexuality - the one time i saw them (as an opening act) the lead singer looked like he stepped out of a Tom of Finland sketch.
