I have no idea why I had never heard of this band; I just saw them at the Kraak festival, and I was blown away. Outer limits bubblegum, dangerous like Kim Fowley style, deep in space and time like parson sound, ? + the mysterians, swank letting you in, slow switch flippers, in a deeper process of weeding out, American krauts for a new generation. Listening to eyelid of moon. Dude. www.urdog.com

Hi Elisa, I remember reading an interesting interview with them right here!. Still haven't heard them though, so thanks for that link.

But come on now, spill the beans, what was the rest of the festival like? I saw that line-up and what can I say? JEALOUS AS HELL!

I really liked Urdog too at the kraak festival. That's some crazy prog shit. Caroliner were a big joke, which was theyre intention i presume, phil elverum was a total charmer without him knowing, he's amazing. I was dissappointed by the Motorhead inspired Boris, i was expecting a lot more doooooom than this. Trad Gras och Stenar were great, especially the more tranced out pieces they did, ahtough they can rock seriously. Six Organs of Admittance turned out to be unpredictable live, started off with a Wolf Eyes impression with tons of feedback coming out the speakers with him shouting on top of that. Than he toned it down with his lovely guitarplaying, sampling melodies on the pedals and toying with the electric guitar on top of it. fabulous. Than, Smegma, those guys are so fuckin not cool they become the coolest ever, old hippies but still confronting and also, very rhythmic and stable. good show, their first on European soil ever. truly unique

UrDog are my friends! From my hometown! Their album Garden of Bones is delightful! Prog/psych/kraut jams for the PEOPLE.
