it contains two "exclusives":Namusouke - "Survive" (Robag's Trainingslager Remix), unlike anything else on the compilation. a dubby dancehall chanting track, or something. i had to readjust my ears so to speak. it's fun though.Robag Wruhme - "Robag's Bobb Für F." which is totally amazing on first listen. a hyperkinetic robot playing a digital djembe provides the propulsive pace, electronic trickeries and a spacious feel do the rest.there's also a short "enhanced cd" track which i haven't checked yet.

last hour of their set at fabric last saturday was phenomenal - don't have a clue what any of it was though
― cherry blossom, Thursday, 7 May 2009 14:34 (seventeen years ago)
Found "Wombat" used yesterday (along with a Robag Alter-Ego remix) :)
They are so so fun DJ's though.
― Edward Saroyan, Thursday, 7 May 2009 15:31 (seventeen years ago)
Had a lot of fun dancing to them at the weekend. I was soo tired by the time they were on though that I took a momentary rest on by the DJ booth and Robag gestured that I go home to sleep. Embarrasing!
― mmmm, Thursday, 7 May 2009 19:27 (seventeen years ago)
excited about seeing them tonight in SF!
― the table is the table, Saturday, 6 June 2009 17:26 (seventeen years ago)

― one time, Saturday, 6 June 2009 19:29 (seventeen years ago)
yeah...i'm spending most of today reading and relaxing in preparation for copious drinking before getting to the End-Up....early, cuz i am much too poor to afford a $20 cover.

These guys were surprisingly good at DEMF.
― pipecock, Sunday, 7 June 2009 02:11 (seventeen years ago)

― willem, Tuesday, 12 April 2011 20:48 (fifteen years ago)
Fuck me this new Robag Wruhme album is BEAUTIFUL.
― Matt DC, Thursday, 19 May 2011 18:36 (fifteen years ago)
It's quite comtemplative, if thats a word. Listening to it reminded me of him from the Speaking In Code documentary.
― mmmm, Thursday, 19 May 2011 19:03 (fifteen years ago)
Robag was the best thing about that documentary.
― brotherlovesdub, Thursday, 19 May 2011 20:20 (fifteen years ago)
I see what you mean but I loved the David? guy. Before then I don't think I could imagine someone so excited by techno/house. He was very entertaining.
― mmmm, Thursday, 19 May 2011 21:06 (fifteen years ago)
it really is a gorgeous record. my friend was in my car yesterday and it came on, and she was like, "what IS this? it's so beautiful!"
my review of it is probably the only review i've ever written that i haven't gotten some flak for.

Yeah top five of the year for me I reckon. Love the disembodied voices throughout.

Sad news, I still have fond, formative memories of seeing the wighnomy bros close out mutek 2007, watching them have so much fun.
― ed.b, Tuesday, 17 September 2024 23:04 (one year ago)
i don't think i've ever seen DJs have as much fun as those two. very sad to hear.
― stirmonster, Wednesday, 18 September 2024 00:02 (one year ago)
RIP. Never got to see Wighnomy Bros spin live but dude looked so damn joyful in every photo of their sets.
