Chuck Berry "My Ding-A-Ling": C or D?

Got the The Chess Box from the library (I only have Chuck Berry's Golden Decade) and I'm hearing "My Ding-A-Ling" for the first time.

I'm kind of weirded out by the fact that this was his only #1. It's like Al Pacino getting the Oscar for Scent Of A Woman.

I like the part where he mentions "our Alma Mater."

Classic, undisputed.

Not as classic as Bo Diddley's "Say Man," but not dud either.

And was future parliament out there, singing?

Who went to that uni that's in the cabinet now, or previously?

Is that John Major singin' "My"?

Actually, a lot of the jokes only make sense if you hear the full 11 minute version, but you really don't need to hear that, more than once.
