not a bad thing, i don't think. and we'll always have "run to the sun" (original version).

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

well, i suppose this is a good thing. such a sad decline though - i'll always remember N.E.R.D. at the Astoria in 2003 as one of the greatest things i've ever seen.

That's a shame - Fly or Die was a lot of fun. But I guess Pharrell has a solo album coming out soon, so that should be interesting.

Is "solo album" code for "ferocious beating with knives"?

we'll always have "run to the sun"

so so so otm. i still listen to this at least once a week.

The first album is one of my favorites ever, I enjoyed the momentum the erm "real instruments" gave the music, and the second one I liked a lot more than most people (especially on here) so this is pretty :(

Pharrell's been saying NERD's dead for months! it just happened that PF finally noticed and made a big deal over it. I am curious about P's solo album even though I haven't liked barely anything by the Neptunes in a long time. I just recently started to really listen to In Search Of, some really good songs on there. still, Spymob > NERD

sounds like a rights issue with the name. I'll bet they pop up under a different moniker...

I think it's more like: they have a dozen other creative outlets, N.E.R.D. was always more of an extracirriculuar exercise, and they've decided to stop persuing that option because it wasn't working business-side. also it's always been a crap name so hopefully they'll just retire it. doing that 2nd album did them no favors anyway.
