ok, anyone who calls their book Stu Who? has a pretty wry awareness of their profile, despite being involved in so many things over the years
you can talk about all those things, on this thread, if you like
but, im specifically interested in the soundtrack to Follow Me (the 1969 surfers in india film, not to be confused with the 1972 film that john barry scored)
what ive heard of this is woozy space drug haze, shades of zodiac cosmic sounds, but, apparently it also has that deni desi & billy track on there, spray colored glasses or whatever? strange mix...perhaps?
id love to get this album, but difficult to find
i read that phillips rates this as his best work as well

I was wondering who this guy was about 10 years ago when I heard a cover of his song "Look on Up at the Bottom" on Redd Kross's "Born Innocent" album... Now I'm listening to the original on an online music store, and it sounds pretty good.

one month passes...
eleven years pass...
Shelley Fabrere's "Johnny Angel" came up in the listening thread and after checking it out I was taken in how well it was recorded. I went and looked it up and found out it was co-written and produced by Stu Phillips, who I had never heard of but wow what a list of music over the years.

This theme from " Beyond the Valley of the Dolls" kicks ass.
