Bach in Black

mookieproof (mookieproof), Tuesday, 22 March 2005 21:33 (twenty-one years ago)

There was an open air gig in Hull last summer called "Orchestral Manouvres in the Park". I don't think this would appeal to young people though.

Your suggestions are nowhere near lame enough. They are too clever.

To give you an example from real life, What's All This Fuss About Faure - now that raises the bar a bit, don't you agree?

Hal Leonard's guitar method book is kind of a staple. It's a good serviceable book but not one that's terribly exciting to many teen boys. In the store the other day I noticed they've put out a "rock method". It's basically the exact same book but in Comic Sans MS font with the songs retitled. "Ode to Joy" is "Ode to Joyful Rock". "Skip to My Lou" is "Rock to My Lou".
