I guess no one can offer a YSI of this? I'm on a computer without RealAudio installed...

NICE.

Yeah this pretty much sweeeeeet. Thanks much guys. Why couldn't the actual album have these dynamics and energy?

Yoshinorimike (Yoshinorimike), Thursday, 24 March 2005 06:13 (twenty-one years ago)

Ehh is it just me or is the Mp3 somehow not the same song as the Real Media file?

Yoshinorimike (Yoshinorimike), Thursday, 24 March 2005 06:19 (twenty-one years ago)

I could do without the long intro.

Eleventy-Twelve (Eleventy-Twelve), Thursday, 24 March 2005 06:26 (twenty-one years ago)

Not keen on this mix tbh, I just keep wanting it to crash in properly and incessantly in the way the album version does. Dynamics are for gurls.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Thursday, 24 March 2005 11:55 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm not so into the mix. I'm still waiting for an acoustic version of the album.

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Thursday, 24 March 2005 18:54 (twenty-one years ago)

Daft Folk?

*strum strum STRUM*

"I am the brainwashe-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-r..."

donut debonair (donut), Thursday, 24 March 2005 19:22 (twenty-one years ago)

Exactly!

Spencer Chow (spencermfi), Thursday, 24 March 2005 19:35 (twenty-one years ago)

Ehh is it just me or is the Mp3 somehow not the same song as the Real Media file?

i wondered that too!

mark p (Mark P), Thursday, 24 March 2005 19:39 (twenty-one years ago)

I like how Soulwax gets to remix both Daft Punk *and* "Daft Punk Is Playing At My House."

donut debonair (donut), Thursday, 24 March 2005 20:51 (twenty-one years ago)

Mmm, so yeah they're definitely not the same song so I don't know what's up with that, but unfortunately the Real Media is better imho.

I think direct links to mp3s on blogs are frowned on a bit, a banana.

haha

one month passes...
Either my copy of the single is labelled wrong or the real media version labelled "Soulwax remix" is actually the "Maximum Overdrive" remix (by Daft Punk). The mp3 version linked to on this thread is no longer available, but the mp3 i got off slsk is similarly labelled.

W i l l (common_person), Tuesday, 3 May 2005 22:10 (twenty-one years ago)

Actually the entire Robot Rock single is pretty meh.. the original is actually the best, if that says anything. I don't care how much "repetition is part of Daft Punk's aesthetic, blah blah blah", The Maximum Overdrive remix just sucks crusty ass.

donut debonair (donut), Tuesday, 3 May 2005 22:15 (twenty-one years ago)

I disagree heartily. The Max Overdrive remix is fun stuff, the last minute or two is crazy. The edits are like, micro-razor sharp.
