it only reflects what I listened to when my iPod wasn't very full...

Delete all those songs. Then import them again.

Select the songs you want to reset. Then right click and select the 'Reset Play Count' option. It'll move them back to 0 plays.

Or alter the playlist so it only includes songs with a "Date Added" of when you started putting more stuff in.

This way you get to keep the play counts of the earlier stuff, but you won't see them on the list.

Build a time machine, go back and don't listen to those songs so much.

wow this is harsh. it's like erasing your personal musical history to satsify your current tastes. kind of like what i did in college to impress the older boys.

one year passes...
I somehow deleted the "top 25" and my "recently played" smartlists, could anyone tell me how to recreate them myself?

play the songs over and over again.

err no, I meant the actual formula of the smartlists. The 'Last Played' option only refers to time periods (not actual number of songs)

I was unhealthly obsessed with my playcounts so I had to delete all those smart playlists. For the greater good.

For your personal top 25:
create a smart playlist ctrl-alt-N (winxp)
[x] limit 25 songs selected by most often played

yours fondly, harshaw. (mrgn), Monday, 12 June 2006 13:11 (twenty years ago)

but how do you choose 'most often played'?
