Codeseven: C/D?

About two or three years ago I received a free promotional copy of their album The Rescue. I listened to it, thought it wasn't too bad but all the metal in it (despite an odd blend of Echo and the Bunnymen infused with it) turned me off and I gave it away to an acquaintance of mine.

Last night when I went to see Trust Weiness (local dreamy/quirky electro-pop with members of Mira -- yes, the one on Projekt -- and Alliegood Avenue) they came on stage only to play two songs because of technical difficulties, but their brief perfomance confounded me because they went almost completely darkwave and they've lost the metal entirely. I don't know what to make of this transformation.

nine months pass...
they were a hardcore band before they were even a metal EBM. unfortunately, they've recently broken up, having never hit their window. i always thought they had a lot of potential. i think the last couple records were last resort efforts into making a sustainable career for a band of aging rockers.

i find it hard to believe that there is a codeseven thread. i liked their last album from 2004. modern metal + tears for fears.
