Something Corporate really fucking suck.

Something Corporate would be a better band if
a) They got either a fatter guitar sound or heavier bass so that their songs didn't sound so limp
b) They got another guy to sing
c) Their melodies weren't so goddamn annoying
d) Their lyrics weren't so awful

This is the current scourge sweeping college campuses, not jam bands. I've met so many rabid fans of these guys I'm very surprised they haven't hit mainstream popularity. In any case, there needs to be a whole lot less of them.

I came across them a couple years ago. On my campus Jack Johnson, Something Stoopid, G-Love, Pepper and other surf rock bullshit is all the rage with most of the people who should at least be listening to Phish or classic rock. But, yeah... Something Corporate suck...when's they're OC appearance? They're that kind of attractive right?

My friend was "tellin me about 'em" as we drove and listened to the far out sounds of something stoopid. Needless to say my friend needs a new mix or something. Any suggestions for someone that has only two decent CDs (her majesty, chutes too narrow) i thought i would at least move to spoon, the pixies, amybe some kinks or some good stuff he may have heard in commercials. I dunno.

i think they're pretty awful but, like earth, mostly harmless--"here's to jimmy eat world and those nights in my car, when 'the first star you see may not be a star'". awww, you gotta love dropping another band's lyrics in their own songs. it's so cute.
