2003 album covering Exile on Main Street... what did everyone think?

I think Lucky Peterson's "Ventilator Blues" and Jimmy Thackery's "Rocks Off" are two of the best covers I've ever heard, with some killer blues soloing... also "Happy" by Deborah Coleman and Jeff Lang's "Sweet Virginia" were also damned good, the later being a really original take on the song. Overall this is a fucking great job covering the best album ever... any other opinions?

I have not heard this album, but I suggest checking out "Paint it Blue", which has some stellar covers of Stones songs by some heavyweight blues artists...Taj Mahal's cover of "Honky Tonk Women" with James Cotton has more soul than a shoe store!

Meanwhile, I'll check out this album as well...

Best album ever? Or just One of the best.

Thackery and Lang remind me how played out blues-rock is to my ears. To each his own I guess. I'll stick with Fat Possum blues artists.
