pretty unimpeachable! she loved it.

and don't give me shit about mark morrison, i know it doesn't fit but that song is a) perfect and b) very Party To Go.

i'm not on slsk much, but none of these is hard to find...

"return of the mack" is great!

djdee (djdee2005), Monday, 28 March 2005 03:57 (twenty-one years ago)

i know! as luck would have it, the version i d/led this time around has a woman's voice on the break down moaning breathily "Maaahk, stop lying abbaht youh big breeaak." i'd never heard that before.

f--gg (gcannon), Monday, 28 March 2005 04:07 (twenty-one years ago)

yeah i have that version.

the mark morrison album is a lost classic.

I always confuse scatman john with fatman scoop.

whatever (nordicskilla), Monday, 28 March 2005 04:41 (twenty-one years ago)

"scatman" is a bit too ridiculouse for me.

djdee (djdee2005), Monday, 28 March 2005 04:42 (twenty-one years ago)

really? wow

whatever (nordicskilla), Monday, 28 March 2005 04:51 (twenty-one years ago)

haha

djdee (djdee2005), Monday, 28 March 2005 04:56 (twenty-one years ago)

This mix reminds me of the one on TV with many of the same tracks (Crystal Waters, la Bouche, Haddaway, Cece, Corona) it also reminds me of a mid 90s Jazzercise set list. Which probably means that it couldnt get any cooler!

jmeister (jmeister), Monday, 28 March 2005 05:24 (twenty-one years ago)

Cathy Dennis was one of my first music crushes.

whatever (nordicskilla), Monday, 28 March 2005 05:25 (twenty-one years ago)

and you can't go wrong with reel 2 real

whatever (nordicskilla), Monday, 28 March 2005 05:26 (twenty-one years ago)

i just found the ILM room on slsk. does no one share their files?

poortheatre (poortheatre), Monday, 28 March 2005 05:33 (twenty-one years ago)

That mix is awesome.

I'd suggested the Reel to Real cut and it makes the opening slot, woo! Of course I'd suggested "that 'I like to move it' song" because I couldn't recall who'd done it.

gspm (gspm), Monday, 28 March 2005 18:37 (twenty-one years ago)

That is a great mix.

Leon Bluth (Ex Leon), Monday, 28 March 2005 18:38 (twenty-one years ago)

xpost: in the slsk discussion he refers to he made it clear he was looking for stuff that made an impact in the USA and M People would probably have been eliminated on that count.

gspm (gspm), Monday, 28 March 2005 18:38 (twenty-one years ago)

whigfield never made it in the us? thats sad

fe zaffe (fezaffe), Monday, 28 March 2005 18:43 (twenty-one years ago)

This selection of songs is fantastic. The only other thing I can think of to put on it is "Now That We Found Love" by Heavy D.

The Ghost of Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Monday, 28 March 2005 18:49 (twenty-one years ago)

thx all! this was made for a "civilian," and the cap to a long-running joke btw us, so overfamiliarity = GOOD.

heavy d might have been a good move in or out of mark morrison. it's the "techno" ones that are the relative clunkers, if u ask me (la style, 2 unlimited)

i d/led some suggested stuff that didn't make the cut: whigfield, also nalin & kane ~ beachball which is fantastic.
