Anyone hear this yet? Looks like it could rule. I'll probably buy it. Three live discs of the quartet with William Parker and Matthew Shipp and each disc with a different drummer (Susie Ibarra, Hamid Drake, Guillermo Brown).

Also, if you feel like it, David S. Ware S/D...
My personal fave is Go See the World for sustained intensity, although there are several I have not heard. I guess the one issue I may have with this live set is Ware's full bore style over three discs. Might get a little much. Anyway, I can listen in pieces, what am I complaining about?

It's great. See my review in the March Wire for more details.

I wish there was a best of for this, but I am interested. It's on Thirsty Ear, right?

Yeah, it's on Thirsty Ear and it's $25.

I'm guessing Hamid's disc will be the best, probably followed by Susie Ibarra (unless Guillermo is playing breakbeats, which would be awesome).

Hamid's disc is the best, but it's a close contest between that and the Susie disc. The Guillermo disc only fails because it's another run-through of "Freedom Suite," which is fine, but I'd have preferred some screamin', non-electronic takes on Corridors & Parallels material or stuff from Surrendered. On the Hamid disc, they play mostly very old material (like, Passage To Music and Great Bliss old), and Hamid's hitting like he's in Funkadelic circa 1970 or something - just a huge stomping foot and snare whacks like he's splintering his sticks with every stroke. Pretty amazing, actually.
