review there....im not at home, so i dont have the tracklisting....

the Agriculture site: http://www.theagriculture.com/davidlast.html

hes an odd duck, but i quite like the work he does both with visuals and with audio.

he was schlepping around hand-painted copies of his last 12" for a while...but lord knows if any still exist.

b b, Tuesday, 29 March 2005 17:27 (twenty-one years ago)

i am writing a review of it as i type this. it's ambient dancehall. when it's not ambient rap.

the agriculture people are very nice btw

strng hlkngtn, Tuesday, 29 March 2005 18:21 (twenty-one years ago)

yeah they are. we did a profile of the label in our last issue and they coulndt have been nicer.

b b, Tuesday, 29 March 2005 18:42 (twenty-one years ago)

it's ambient dancehall. when it's not ambient rap.

Just so long as it's not Laswell circa 1994 part two, please.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 29 March 2005 18:47 (twenty-one years ago)

ick...no..can't say theres a bit of laswell in it...

well, maybe a drop....but no, not that scene at all

b b, Tuesday, 29 March 2005 19:20 (twenty-one years ago)

it's good.

it's even better when you don't think about the Thievery Corporation when listening to it.

Poundstretcher (nordicskilla), Wednesday, 30 March 2005 04:07 (twenty-one years ago)

this record is nuts! i don't know how much room i have at the moment for midtempo electronic listening music, but still, so nuts! did anybody else catch the gi joe reference?

mark p (Mark P), Friday, 1 April 2005 15:58 (twenty-one years ago)

Sounds like my kinda record. Harvell's Pfork review totally made me want this! Oh and this mix (linked in the middle of the page) definitely doesn't hurt.

mcd (mcd), Friday, 8 April 2005 13:41 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh and opinions on anything else from this label? I'm hip to the Nettle stuff on the Agriculture but nothing else. I used to love that one We record on Asphodel from way way back, though.

mcd (mcd), Friday, 8 April 2005 13:46 (twenty-one years ago)

I would like to hear this.

Jordan (Jordan), Friday, 8 April 2005 14:18 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh, he's from Madison, cool.

Jordan (Jordan), Friday, 8 April 2005 14:22 (twenty-one years ago)

one year passes...
new e.p. from him free @ http://unfoundsoundrecords.com/

fandango (fandango), Monday, 17 July 2006 23:45 (nineteen years ago)

The Suz mix is great, not really feeling the rest though.
