It's neat-o lil' short story n' errrrrthing....but um...besides the fact that it's wierd folk music I guess (there was like one sentence about the music), I'd like to know maybe a little bit more about the ol' tunes from a music review.*

That said, I guess the made me intrigued about the album (although that was at least part due to the cover art and the album title, which caugth my attention somehow)...Anyway, anyone whose heard anything off this and would like to clue me in, I'd appreciate it.

*for the record I'm not a pitchfork hata, per se, and d-leone is one of my favs usually from that site, but jeezo beezo this is a leeeetle bit much.

im with you on this particular d. leone piece. i enjoy the use of the narative style and assume that her choise was relevant to the nature of the record, but i don't feel a grip on what he record really accomplishes. i hope she encourages this sort of writing and manages to be more effective in the future.

given the record, and wierd folk in general, it isn't such a crime to not go into detail. at the same time as someone who buys too much of this stuff, its nice to know what i'm dealing with because it can go very very wrong.

She might well. I don't know what he'd think, though.

I really want to hear this. "The Skull Mailbox" is one of the most underrated bits of psych-pop ever.
