Not really a TS. I haven't heard either (although I do own and love Pretty Toney), so which one is better to get first/now?

skip lunch, buy both.

No way dude, I'm starving!

hm tough call. are you sure need food? food is overrated.

I guess if you've already got one Ghostface album, branch out and get Cuban Linx....

Shakey Mo Collier, Wednesday, 30 March 2005 17:22 (twenty-one years ago)

a) If I don't eat I'm pretty much going to end up stabbing a co-worker, so it seems like a good idea.

b) While I wish my lunch cost $15, it does not, so I would sorta have to skip lunch & dinner.

What is the weather like where you're at or what will it be like over the next couple of days?

earinfections (Nick Twisp), Wednesday, 30 March 2005 17:25 (twenty-one years ago)

Bright and sunny, 60s, until Saturday. (I'm in NYC.)

Eppy (Eppy), Wednesday, 30 March 2005 17:26 (twenty-one years ago)

haha - that's a funny question but totally spot-on. I associate Cuban Linx w/rain + winter (tho this seems to be unusual) and the other w/summer + sunshine

Shakey Mo Collier, Wednesday, 30 March 2005 17:27 (twenty-one years ago)

I think it's the "where the skies stay the color of grey like heroin" line in "Criminology", plus "Rainy Dayz"...

perfect! save your subway/cab fare, start walking everywhere, buy both.

Flip a coin. You really can't go wrong with either one. OBC4L is a bit more typically Wu-sounding though if you want that sorta thing. Plus you can listen to it and read the great piece in XXL on it.

Stab a co-worker, rob them and buy both?

Cuban Links is more immediate, Supreme Clientele's prob'ly deeper long-term. They're both masterpieces.

I don't think the time is right for Cuban Linx. Personally I wouldn't get that until the summer, on a day that's barely ten degrees (Celcius) from hell. Maybe mid-June or July.

IRONMAN.

word.

Never really understood the love for Cuban Linx. Gotta recommend Supreme Clientele without reservation.

You'll be really satisfied with either one and end up buying the other within 24 hours anyway.

"Ice Cream" is a TOTAL summertime jam.

'Ob4cl' is the best rap album ever made. Or, at the very least, the best rap album of the 90s.

You can't go wrong with either but 'ob4cl' is vintage RZA circa '95 and comes together a little better as an album than 'supreme clientele'.

Buy 'ob4cl', then buy 'iron man', which is patchy but contains around 10 or 11 classic Ghostface songs, 4 of which are probably the best he's ever done, and then buy 'supreme clientele'.

I'd recommend Cuban cause Ghost's subsequent records were almost as great. Especially Bulletproof Wallets. And though there are other records around the time of Cuban with the "vintage RZA sound" its still one of a kind.
