LCD Soundsystem and M.I.A. to Tour Together
Rob Kleckner reports:I can't possibly give LCD Soundsystem and M.I.A. any more hype than they've already received. What's amazing, though, is that these two artists have caught fire with very few U.S. tour dates to their credit. But that's about to change-- and in grand fashion. M.I.A. will open for LCD Soundsystem in North America in May and June. Here's the schedule thus far:

Much as I like LCD, I'd reverse that order. Anyway, LA FAP on May 15th? Too bad that's a Sunday!

that sounds about right. i'd have a hard time believing that she could out-perform the absolute powerhouse of a live band that lcd soundsystem has on tour.

i'll be buying tix for this show asap. it might end up being disappointing (how can it possibly stand up to the hype) but i'll be there regardless.

The first half of that LCD show was pretty weak, mainly due to the gaps between songs, but the second half was incredible. "Yeah" has to be one of my top 10 (5?) concert moments all-time.
