If you look in that shoebox you hide under the bed, you'll find part of your secret stash is missing. Thanks, dave q, it was some good shit.

Holy shit!
Maybe this thread should be renamed 'Motörhead's album "No Remorse" vs Gene Simmons as that Demon Guy'

Seriously, to answer your question, Ace of Spades. Easily.

No Remorse is essentially a compilation, btw.

No Remorse is the one if it's your only Motorhead album. It's a really good compilation up to about 1988. I have it with the leather sleeve, which is quite ridiculous. Also available on cassette in a leather pouch designed to hold a cigarette packet, although I've never seen that particular item.

I'd sooner suggest No Sleep `Til Hammersmith. Sure, it's a live album....but you're not missing any pithy sonic nuances in the studio renditions. Without a doubt, it's the band's finest hour.

Gimme Ace Of Spades. As a collection, No Remorse is pretty good (Lemmy's liner notes are typically hilarious), but coulda been better. The four new songs are kinda meh (Wwhere's Fast Eddie? Where's Philthy?), the Girlschool collabs aren't much better, and the two Brian Robertson-era songs aren't my favourites. As for Ace Of Spades, I've played it so many hundreds (thousands?) of times that its opening trilogy of "Ace", "Love Me Like A Reptile" and "Shoot You In The Back" (one of my top four all-time fave) always sounds to me like a single song; but only the first of those three made to No Remorse. Also missing/missed: "Dance", a little gem of (deliberate) stoopidity. To write a song celebrating the joys of dancing ("Get down with them girls/Get down you dancin' fool!") and release it at the height of the "Disco Sucks" era proves that Motörhead were possibly the coolest band EVAH! So, yeah, I'll take Ace Of Spades. (But I still wanna keep the leather No Remorse sleeve to protect it from the elements!)

Perhaps, but some of the versions on NO REMORSE are live. Motorhead, Iron Horse, Bomber, I think, and one or two others (this is from memory).

three years pass...

sort of a bummer that "no remorse" is the only way to get "killed by death"

Three of the four NR-only songs are great: "Killed By Death," "Snaggletooth" and "Locomotive." And they played "Killed..." on tour this summer.

I have AoS, but not NR. Reading about NR only makes me want to have the clutch of singles that AoS does not include. Pleased to see that 'We are the roadcrew' makes both discs: "Another game that I can't play, another word I've learned to say" Classic, classic, classic.

Yeah I have the same thought baja - seems like a waste to get No Remorse since I have all of it already except those 4 extra tracks, but as unperson says those 3 of them are all fucking killers. I've made do with the mp3s so far.
