Singing bass players S/D

Has this been done?

Was reading the Mr. Mister thread, and reflecting on the way the singer guy looked kinda like Sting. Both blond and a little intense-looking, neither really highly regarded round these parts. Both singer/bassists.

So--for me, S: Nick Lowe, Roger Waters. D: Geddy Lee, Gene Simmons.

Does anybody else remember that band called The Call ("Let the Day Begin")? What was that dude's name? He was so earnest in the way he played and sang.

I recently saw an instructional video of his, and it's the most fun damn instructional video ever! Most of those guys just sit there going "ugh, so, let's go through it in the phrygian mode, ho-hum"
But Graham? *Pluckety-thump* "Alright now! heyyyy!" Huge grin nearly blinding you and everything. His wee history of thumpin' 'n' pluckin' at the beginning is a ton of fun too.
Good times.

Search: that cat from Mastodon. I love the way this guy screams. The first three songs on Remission have those exploding parts where everything hits at once with one of his sick-ass screams. When I saw them live he had this pointy chin with a crazy little beard. Sorta looks like a metal Abe Lincoln.

And whoever wanted to destroy Sti-fuckin'-ing: we're talking about so-fuckin'-lo Sti-fuckin'-ing ri-fuckin'-ight??
