Son of Roxy Music singer Ferry arrested after incident involving Tony Blair
LONDON (AP) — The fox-hunting son of rocker Bryan Ferry was arrested after he lunged at Prime Minister Tony Blair.
Otis Ferry, 22, reached over a barrier and shouted at the prime minister as he arrived Friday for a post-election party at London’s National Portrait Gallery.
“I’ve had enough of this government,” Ferry said as he was taken away by police.
The son of the former Roxy Music singer is a keen advocate of hunting with hounds, which was banned earlier this year after a long and divisive debate.
He and four other protesters charged onto the floor of the House of Commons during a debate on hunting in September, one of a series of security lapses at the seat of Britain’s government.

He's the Tory's golden boy in England, or so I've read. Funny that he's actually this political. I thought they were just kind of making this apolitical kid their chosen one for the new generation.

I'm at work. It's basically a cross-section of Who's-Who in the House of Commons.

Number 14 shows a picture of a young man in a yellow sweater with "I went to Eton and I (heart) killing foxes" written on it. He is blowing a horn and holding up a dead fox in the middle of the HoC. Caption: "Protestor - The son of a has-been pop singer campaigning for the Countryside Alliance".

Strange, unless Otis has already caused a stir in parliament?

Unlikely, though he did help finance the campaign of Reg Keys who stood against Tony Blair in his constituency and gave hime one of the most uncomfortable moments of his life.

Dude's saying prison isn't a very bad experience and that it's kind of a comment on British society. I actually think this is kind of hilarious.

Naive Teen Idol, Wednesday, 12 November 2008 15:37 (seventeen years ago)

And yet when Jeffrey Archer came out, he was all for Prison reform and improving conditions, etc.
