is this song classic or dud.

It's one of the first singles I ever bought. I was about 12, and despite the words and all the muscle men in the video, I had no idea that it was like the gayest song ever (well, maybe not gayer than "Walk The Night"). It's pretty catchy.

Patrick (Patrick), Sunday, 8 May 2005 13:25 (twenty-one years ago)

and it wasn't even co-written by paul shaffer!

Once you get past the title, it's a bit of a letdown. It could've been so much bigger and bolder. Not quite dud, though.

It ain't worth shit without both the STORMING percussion breaks in the original 12". Westbam used to mix them into each other on Saturday nights at the Berlin Metropol, as we danced all night with amyl up our noses and love in our hearts etc etc CLASSIC CLASSIC CLASSIC. (And easily Ian Levine's finest hour.)

tokyo nursery school: afternoon session (rosemary), Monday, 9 May 2005 01:01 (twenty-one years ago)

I jacked this from my parents' collection and spin it on my show. Bit tedious towards the end, but a good record nonetheless.

i don't understand how this song is gay? it's sung by a woman.

[that bastard] jaxon (jaxon), Tuesday, 10 May 2005 04:55 (twenty-one years ago)

oh, and next you'll tell me eartha kitt's "where is my man" wasn't gay either!

cindy margolis holocaust (Jody Beth Rosen), Tuesday, 10 May 2005 05:06 (twenty-one years ago)

Patrick, is Walk the Night the best you can do? There was a thread about this, but I still say "I'm a man who needs a man" by the Gay Men is the gayest song ever. Followed by Male Stripper by Man 2 Man, I Was Born This Way by Carl Bean, then Walk the Night. Followed by Boys Town Gang's Cruising the Streets.

Dan Selzer (Dan Selzer), Tuesday, 10 May 2005 05:16 (twenty-one years ago)

gay songs sung by gay men (and/or bobby o) don't count here.

cindy margolis holocaust (Jody Beth Rosen), Tuesday, 10 May 2005 05:23 (twenty-one years ago)

Then it has to be It's Raining Men by the Weather Girls!

Dan Selzer (Dan Selzer), Tuesday, 10 May 2005 06:20 (twenty-one years ago)

bingo

cindy margolis holocaust (Jody Beth Rosen), Tuesday, 10 May 2005 06:32 (twenty-one years ago)

if we're using songs sung by men, i might have to nominate the reggae track "Tickle Tune" by Sex Boots Dread

[that bastard] jaxon (jaxon), Tuesday, 10 May 2005 15:43 (twenty-one years ago)

Me take it up me arse
and me jam it in me pants
Me like a big man
with a four course romance
and him licking up me backside
