BOO!!!!

hahahahahahaha! and they showed clips from her rockumentary and it was all clips of david crosby saying that britney was as deep as a birdbath and joni was the one true star and i thought of ilm. and she kept trying to convince tavis that she LOVED hip-hop. "especially when it's great!" and when tavis brought up woodstock she said, "and sly & the family stone was there! a great band!" pointing at tavis as if HE WERE SLY & THE FAMILY STONE. and she is very sad that there is more hip-hop being played on the radio and less rock. oh, the whole thing was priceless. i could go on and on. the music really used to mean something apparently. or something. oh, and she LOVES marvin gaye. she only wishes that she could have interviewed HIM!

she LOVED hip-hop. "especially when it's great!"

I'm almost shitting myself. I mean this interview must literally be a multimedia suppository.

donut debonair (donut), Wednesday, 11 May 2005 22:11 (twenty-one years ago)

That movie looks worse than terrible.

NOT GREAT! (Alex in SF), Wednesday, 11 May 2005 22:14 (twenty-one years ago)

Why can't there be good rock bands like Toto nowadays?

M@tt He1geson (Matt Helgeson), Wednesday, 11 May 2005 22:15 (twenty-one years ago)

David Crosby is so high-and-mighty now that he's a sperm donor.

The Ghost of Dan Perry (Dan Perry), Wednesday, 11 May 2005 22:17 (twenty-one years ago)

black eyed peas and outkast are still music for the i have black friends crowd

[that bastard] jaxon (jaxon), Wednesday, 11 May 2005 22:19 (twenty-one years ago)

Outkast transcends that.

Roseanna is so full'o'shit, as anyone who's seen her documentary "Searching for Debra Winger" can attest. But the Toto song is still great!

Nooz and reflections on rock moozic on PBS = for morons or people who don't really listen to rock music but want to hear something stupid but interesting-sounding to dilettantes. I mean if you're so desperate for coverage you go to PBS for entertainment publicity, you probably already know no one's buying whatever it is you're peddling.

Out here in El-lay it was immediately preceded by a Frontline special about the mentally ill warehoused in the Ohio prison system. Segments showed a paranoid schizophrenic in solitary throwing his shit through the food slot at a team of guards in helmets and ballistic armor prepping to give him a good beating for going off his medicine.

Nice segue, huh.

but they had cliff richard live in concert not that long ago!!! and eric burden and chuck negron every other nite!! they are on the cusp of the edge of the avant!

scott seward (scott seward), Wednesday, 11 May 2005 23:42 (twenty-one years ago)

and eric burden and chuck negron every other nite!!

It was their fundraiser wasn't it? They interjected every fifteen minutes to admonish you to get to the phone and pledge so you could reeive an honorary DVD of the show. Burdon sat on a stool for most of his performance; with his Hawaiian shirt he looked right ready for a Florida assisted living community near the beach. Almost as good as Ozzy using a walker to hit the stage and getting an oxygen tank and a wheelchair on the way off.

The Grass Roots dood was on, too! And Steppenwolf closed the show. Man, John Kay rocked! That's what the announcer said.

The best thing about "Searching for Debra Winger" was Winger looking at her like, "Jesus, why don't you get a hobby or something?"

"A Rosanna Arquette Experience."

deanor (jram), Thursday, 12 May 2005 04:41 (twenty-one years ago)

I don't know why you people are making fun of PBS because PBS DEPENDS ON SUPPORT FROM VIEWERS LIKE YOU!!!!!111

Eppy (Eppy), Thursday, 12 May 2005 13:34 (twenty-one years ago)

I still loves me some Charlie Rose.

Huk-L, Thursday, 12 May 2005 13:42 (twenty-one years ago)

Who recently had Kanye on saying that he hopes John Mayer scares hip hop into being creepy again.
