At first it seemed kind of "ok" and then I really started getting into it. Whats with the recontextualization of all these familiar samples?! I love it! Discuss (if there's a thread i missed, my bad)

two months pass...

I just got a 3 month preview of digital cable and the Faith Evans video for "Mesmerized" is everywhere(on the various r'n'b music video channels). I like the throwback soul feel to the song, although it's not that great a tune (not as good as that Anthony Hamilton one they keep playing nonstop also).

really? this might just be the absolute worse song she has made in her career. its embarassing wannabe-funk-lite. like a terrible version of beyonces work it out. im surprised a uk 'urban' artist didnt make it!
