ECHNOLOGIC' REVOLUTION!

DAFT PUNK are to release a second single from their third studio album ’HUMAN AFTER ALL’.

’Technologic’, out June 13, will be available on two-track CD, enhanced CD and 12". Remixes come courtesy of Basement Jaxx, Peaches and Pascal Arbez, aka Vitalic.

The video for ’Technologic’ is once again directed by Thomas Bangalter and Guy Manuel De Homem Christo, their third offering to date, in which they transport us to the spooky and surreal world of the robots.

’Human After All’ has already sold almost a million copies worldwide since its release in March.

i find the cover art for the album and "robot rock" single to be very creepy, but also very awesome and perfect.

link to video?

(interested, because the "Robot Rock" video was basically like a home video by Bill & Ted in robot costumes)

Freaky video in quicktime.

That robot-baby-thing has the freakiest fucking mouth. The gums! The gums of horror!

Telephonething, Thursday, 12 May 2005 00:47 (twenty-one years ago)

i could see these remixes being the best thing to come out of the whole debacle

s1ocki (slutsky), Thursday, 12 May 2005 01:09 (twenty-one years ago)

oh please, stop with the hatred. embrace half of the record (the rest is mediocre). i'm really looking forward to the peaches remix.

i'm ready to embrace these remixes, should they prove to be embraceable.

Thing looks like Robo-Chucky -- freaky.

James Jung, Thursday, 12 May 2005 14:17 (twenty-one years ago)

Oh, this video is immediately 10,000 times better than the "Robot Rock" video.

It's like Daft Punk are trying to be Devo trying to be Brothers Quay!

awesome!

There's a bit of Gary Numan in that set, too...

Telephonething, Sunday, 15 May 2005 03:43 (twenty-one years ago)

How long has the iPod "Technologic" commercial been running here in the US? Saw it for the first time tonight.

Jay Vee (Manon_70), Sunday, 15 May 2005 04:16 (twenty-one years ago)

i saw it for the first time last night, too (during one of the best snls in a long long time). the irony is disturbingly thick in that commercial.

Wow that's cool. If only I understood how to use fruity loops..

The Brainwasher (Twilight), Saturday, 4 June 2005 02:02 (twenty-one years ago)

donut debonair (donut), Saturday, 4 June 2005 05:18 (twenty-one years ago)

the Vitalic and Basement Jaxx remixes are both rubbish :(

I haven't heard the Peaches one and quite frankly don't want to any more.

The Lex (The Lex), Saturday, 4 June 2005 07:14 (twenty-one years ago)

i like the jaxx mix.

jermaine (jnoble), Saturday, 4 June 2005 08:13 (twenty-one years ago)

I'm not liking the Jaxx or Vitalic mixes either. The Fake ID mix that was on Boomselection a few weeks ago is great, though. I think it's still there for d/l.

Roz (Roz), Saturday, 4 June 2005 10:01 (twenty-one years ago)

I like them all. Except the Peaches, b/c I'm not keen to hear it. The Jaxx one is better than the Vitalic one, but it's running even with FakeID's.

Negativa, True Believer (You know you love it when I'm dressed in drag) (Barima), Saturday, 4 June 2005 14:52 (twenty-one years ago)

Jaxx and Vitalic mixes both disappointing.
