Sleepy John Estes was named, I think, for his ability to sleep standing up. Or with his eyes open. Hmm. I think the most charmingly named bluesman is Barbecue Bob aka Robert Hicks, who apparently owned a restaurant and would cook for you, serve you and then play for you while you ate. Surely no one could think ill of a man named Barbecue Bob.

I have some suspicions as to why he was called this, but I don't actually know...he was always too drunk to give me an intelligible explanation.
