My personal favorite album of theirs, overall. The sextet line-up with two keyboardists (the great John Evan, and David--nowadays 'Dee'--Palmer). Is there a weak track on this album? I can't find it...

it's the last of their albums i have, but i don't like it nearly as much as stand up, thick as a brick, or aqualung. You've inspired me to go back and listen to it though. i will report back if i find any weak trax

i'm a little unsure about "ring out solstice bells" but every other track is perfect.

"Have you seen... JACK-IN-THE-GREEN!" That track is utter, hairless shite on a wooden spoon.

Ha! I always had a soft spot for SFTW, actually -- rolling back the blues rock in favor of that electrofolk production suited them well, "Velvet Green" being a particularly fine example. But "Pibroch", all delayed, phased guitars and creeping malice, is the classic here.
