Jedi Mind Tricks

I recently have purchased _Violent by Design_ and _Legacy of Blood_ by Jedi Mind Tricks. The former is one of the best rap albums I own, while the latter is extremely mediocre and has only a few moments worth listening to.

Which album is the fluke? Are their other albums great like _Violent By Design_ or was that just a brief moment of brilliance?

Stoupe The Enemy Of Mankind!! Man this guy is sick when it comes to beats. Check out Visions Of Ghandi - in particular "Tibetan Black Magicians" with Canibus, "Animal Rap" with Kool G Rap, and "Rise Of The Machines" with Ras Kass. Vinnie Paz is pretty great on the mic no doubt, but some of the guests on here are legends and you get to here them on some of the best beats they'll ever rap on.

Also check out the Canibus album Rip The Jacker. Stoupe produced all the tracks on there too and its even more brilliant than the Jedi Mind records.

I haven't listed to my copy of Psychosocialwhatever in ages (it's on cassette.) As I recall, it's got some great high points, and some real low ones as well. Even some creamy middles. If Violent By Design is that good I guess I oughtta take a look.

Maybe I should clarify:

Violent By Design may not be one of the BEST rap albums I own (perhaps I got a little carried away there), but it IS a really excellent, consistent album, and definitely one of the best of the last 5 years or so. If you like the sound of Enter the 36 Chambers, then you should love it. It's got some really strong tracks on it.
