Pretty depressing list I must say.

the Faith Evans album is quite good. by far the best there, anyway.

The Lex (The Lex), Monday, 16 May 2005 13:03 (twenty-one years ago)

The Faith Evans and Tom Vek records are OK but you wouldn't cross the road in a rush to get them. New things I do like at the moment include the albums by Acoustic Ladyland (better and punkier than their name suggests), Atomic Hooligan, Go-Kart Mozart and Pendulum (esp. "Fasten Your Seatbelts" with the Freestylers on the latter).

I think the White Stripes will end up being album of the year - on my site at least. I don't think they're due a backlash yet and I think they'll get top marks from at least two mags.

As for this month's list, the only one I've heard is Eels, which is decent but hasn't really sunk in yet. I'd like to hear Four Tet and Caribou though.
