Glitchy guitar/laptop recommendations

So I'm finding myself quite enamoured with the likes of:

Giuseppe Lelasi - Gesine
Fennesz - Endless Summer/Venice
Minamo
Mountains

Can anyone recommend some stuff in the same vein? I really like the warm, stuttering acoustic guitars, pops and clicks, with that electro-acoustic sensibility.

But I don't like the sad indie/MBV-inspired stuff like Xela, Signer and Manual.

Thanks in advance.

I almost typed in Xela until I read the rest of your post.

Try TimTim's LP on BPitch Control.

While I love almost everything Fennesz has done, he lost me with Venice, which I find too ambient and sentimental. However, in that vein and with other stuff you mentioned, similar stuff I can heartily recommend, for starters:

pandatone - lemons & limes

pirandelo - Pirandèlo Suona (really, really topshelf)

microstoria - model 3, step 2

Kevin Drumm & Martin Tetreault - Particles & Smears (a little more neutral sounding then the above, but generated from a guitar and with a sensibility that is similar, if more abstract)

apestaartje v/a ep - va : small record (or wait)

Keith Fullerton Whitman - playthroughs

christopher willits's folding, and the tea is a good album in this vein.

the khonnor album 'handwriting' is somewhat hit-or-miss but the highlights are in this vein and really nice.

rajeev (rajeev), Monday, 16 May 2005 21:43 (twenty-one years ago)

oh but it also may be like the sad indie stuff you don't like.

rajeev (rajeev), Monday, 16 May 2005 21:44 (twenty-one years ago)

Actually, I thought the Khonnor disc had a lot of merit. The list of sad indie stuff I referenced just seemed kind of amateur to me, in execution and in style.

Whereas Khonnor is on to something. I agree it's hit and miss though.

Thanks for the recommends everyone!
