I walked in during the last 30 seconds of the episode - someone had just been shot and there was some song that contained a vocoded female vocal, it sounded kind of like that one Laurie Anderson song. Anyone?

Apparently, surrounding words in the thread title with brackets destroys said words. Insert "What Song Did They Just Play On The OC" in between "The" and "Thread."

yeah, i'm a huge O.C. geek. i admit it. anyway, i'm not sure who did that song either, but they post the weekly soundtrack on the show's website. last night's songs were:

"El Manana" - Gorillaz

"Hide and Seek" - Imogen Heap
"You're Not the Law" - The Dead 60's
"An Honest Mistake" - The Bravery
"Hot Ride" - The Prodigy
"Friends" - Ryan Adams & the Cardinals
"Twenty Two Fourteen" - The Album Leaf

now i know its not Ryan Adams, Prodigy, the Bravery, or Dead 60's... but i've not heard any of the other songs. i'm pretty sure it wasn't the Gorillaz, so i'm leaning towards Imogen Heap.
