im going to vote for black music. just because hendrix was black. actually, i dont think he was, he wasnt black, he wasnt white, he wasnt indian, he transcended all racial barriers maaaaaaaaaaaaaaan. and im not just saying this to make myself feel better so i dont have to admit that someone so great was actually a black musician, but simply cos he was like, totally from outer space, dude, he wasnt of this earth. like other black people. so what if he had an afro. anyway, like lester bangs said, he played 90% white music. so maybe im voting for white music. yeah, im siding with lester, he was someone who didnt have any problems or hangups about race. he was really open minded and not bigoted at all. so what if he wore that last of the white niggers t shirt and used the word spic liberally, yknow, that was just cos he was so damn cool man. yeah, white music all the way. woo-hoo for the white musicians! you guys are the best of all time.
