i called him jay-zed back when i first heard mention of him (or, read mention of him, i should say. it was when i *heard* his name being pronounced on mtv or whatever that i understood :-))

Australians are brought up in schools to say "ZED" in the alphabet, but radio announcers and all the people I know say "ZEE" when pronouncing his name.
