Simpsons Help: You know that song, the one that goes...

Yo, I just watched the Simpsons episode 'Future-Drama' from Season 16. It's the one where Prof. Frink shows Bart & Lisa their future Prom. During the prom there is a song which I couldn't identify. It wasn't A-Ha's "Take On Me". The track in question is really slow and cheesy and the vocal refrain sounds like someone saying "barp-barp-buh-barrrp barp oooh-ooh ooooh-ooh" in falsetto.
I'm also pretty sure it's been used in an Adam Sandler affiliated film.

I can't get it out of my head, I NEED to know what it is.

What was the title of the song they played at the end of that episode? sounded like a classic song from 1950's period.

It was "Sea of Love" by Phil Phillips. Really, homefry, I exhort you to become intimately familiar with that song and never allow yourself to become so alienated from it that you have to ask what it is. It is one of the fifty best songs of all time. According to me.

Does anybody know the name of the song that's playing while Marge and Ruth Powers are going into the Hate Box nightclub in the episode Marge on the Lam (from Season Five)?

No problem, and sorry about the tone of my answer -- I get grandiose when I'm drinking.

Hello!!!
The "sea of love" song in the Simpsons episode (Future drama) is performed by Bobby Darin. I know it`s a Phil Phillips song, but that`s Bobby!

Worst episode ever. Haven't they used this plot line before? All they have done recently is recycle old plots and make obscure metrosexual-culture references. Really, have they made a good one in the past two seasons?

its pretty much a waste now - there are the occasional really funny gags or jokes or sequences, but its been a loooooooooong time since I thought an entire episode was actually really well done and funny. (Tomacco episode maybe? or the one where Bart gets put on Focusin? The one with Jasper Johns was good. These are all from 4-5 years ago, of course)

That Tomacco episode cracks me up. When was the Frank Grimes episode from? That is some funny dark humor. I love the bit at the end where they're all at the funeral and Homer's passed out and comes to for a second and says something inane, and everyone cracks up.
