Is this the house record of the year? Hardest thing Jori's ever done I think, it's got really old school Chicago drums and hi-hats and this one incessant acid riff throughout, ebbs and flows the whole way through, absolutely killer.

(Guido Schneider's mix isn't bad either!)

don't you hate it when you dig up a great record and no one has anything to say about it. ;)

i would def. like to hear this. i think hulkkonen's most recent album dualizm (on f-com) is good. it's all woozy house and house ballads with liberal use of dystopian space and science metaphors (and male vocals). not the most daring concept, i agree, but when it works, it works. the only thing i don't like about it is that it can get a bit too 'jazzy' and deep and overwrought at times. (which is weird cos it sometimes sounds like a european house version of adult.)

his remix of telepopmusik's "breathe" is awesome "moody bastard" house. i bet ronan wouldn't like it...except the bassline and strings (when they come in) are swoon worthy. i like the organic drums sounds he uses. everything is fat and analog.

His remix of DK8's "The Difference" is great too. His album from '01/'02 was a bit boring though as I recall.

haha Disco Nihilist, I was thinking I'd have to bump this thread!

I love his remix of Telepopmusik. And the one of the DK7 or DK8 or whatever they are's "The Difference" from the Coleridge mix.

The only problem with this track is it's actually too big to not play the entire 10 minutes or so, there is no part where you can really mix it away.

would like to hear some remixes despite the fact that his album kinda drifted over me and made little impact

.. other than the tracks with vocals which were cool enough.
