Maybe "Smells Like Teen Spirit" is so obvious (or so overplayed), no one's mentioning it. I played the video for my grade 6 class on the anniversary of Cobain's death last week. Somewhat melodramatically, I told them there's art that says yes and art that says no, and "Smells Like Teen Spirit" was one of the greatest nos ever. "A denial, a denial, a denial, a denial," etc. Or as Frank Kogan once translated, "Bloody Nile, bloody Nile, bloody Nile, bloody Nile..."
