Killer Mike- My Chrome single

First single on Big Boi's new label, if I've heard right, and first off of Killer Mike's forthcoming album. Surprisingly great- lots of Speakerboxxx-y synths and horn stabs. I'll try and get up a YSI soon...

Working on it- Soulseek is being craptacular. His site (http://killermike.net) has a stream of the other single with Three 6 Mafia, though.

his last album was half of a truly great record. A little too much of the YELLING OVER BREAKNECK BEATS thing... def. lookin forward to this tho.

it sounds quite a bit like Dead Prez's "Hell Yeah," (the fast version) but it's pretty great! btw, i've got it on slsk (user: aroundtheway)

pretty good - altho oddly I don't really dig the chorus hook. but when Big Boi and Killer Mike's verses kick in in the middle, that's good stuff.

I like it. The hook sounds like it could be in a lame nu-metal song, yeah, but the production and verses are nice. The tempo's almost the same as Flip Flop Rock. Mike sounds chilled out compared to Monster, which was kinda grating at times. I wonder if the album tracks are much different?

UI think the genius of Killer Mike's albums was its gratingness. So harsh and beautiful...anyway, this is great, but then, it's *still* hard to fault Dunegon Family. The Bigg Gipp LP was the hip hop album of 2003 for me...
