Listening to angus maclise has got me really interested in hand percussion = so i'd be interested to hear what other people like!

velez is where you want to go.

i still havent picked up the pandit prah nath (im sure thats spelled wrong)releases that maclise helped create. they may be in the right alley, but i'll leave that to someone else.

Velez is good, "Internal Combustion" is the place to go to because the recording quality is surreal, pure sound.

Zakir Hussain: I have several remarkable early 80's cassettes of him solo, completely transcendent, you can see why he's basically considered the world's best. if someone could recommend some more of his classic recordings (and less of his recent guest appearences) I'd be indebted.
