OT: Wasn't there an Adam Duritz acoustic cover of this? I actually remember it was pretty good.

Yes. On the "Clueless" soundtrack.

I love both tracks, but the `Furs have the edge on this one.

Adm Duritz shouldn't be allowed to cover the `Furs....let alone anywhere near a microphone.

Oh believe you me, I've got no love for the pudgy Duritz. But I enjoy his cover. It's my cross to bear.

Robyn Hitchcock covers the PFurs song too -- I like it but simultaneously fail to feel strongly that it needed to exist.

It's a lovely song – maybe the P-Furs best ballad (even more than "She is Mine"). I eve dig the twinkly keyboards (which Tears for Fears would hijack for their "Big Chair" singles).

OMG.

I was going to do this thread!

The only reason I didn't get to start it when I wanted to was because I didn't feel it fair to put my opinion about the songs until I had heard Siouxsie & The Banshees' version.

I still have yet to listen to it completely.

Siouxsie & The Banshees' version.

It's not a version, it's just a different song, Aja.

Oh, sorry.

See, this is the exact reason why I wanted to listen to it. I thought it was a cover, especially when I started listening to it, but when I heard her start singing, I got pissed off. I thought I was in for a cool cover, but got a rip off instead!
